Andrea wants to work with Rajinikanth

It looks like Andrea Jeremiah's career is on a high now. The success of Vishwaroopam  has given a fillip to her career and the actress is already busy shooting for the sequel to the film, Vishwaroopam 2. The original had Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar, Rahul Bose  and Shekar Kapoor in the film and the film was declared a success at the Box Office. Andrea plays the female lead in Saradha Ramanathan's Puthiya Thiruppangal. She is also playing a pivotal role in the Jiiva-Trisha starrer Endrendrum Punnagai.

When quizzed the actress if she would like to work with Rajinikanth, she said that working with Kamal Haasan itself was a big surprise for her. "If I am indeed called to act with Superstar Rajinikanth how could I ever say no," she was quoted saying.

Vishwaroopam completes 100 days

Kamal Haasan's magnum opus Vishwaroopam  completes 100 days across theaters in Tamil Nadu. After facing a lot of problems over releasing the film, Vishwaroopam hit the screens in Tamil Nadu  of Feb 7th, 13 days after its worldwide release on Jan 25th for the fans to enjoy the film and has turned out to be massive hit at the box office.

Starring Kamal Haasan, Pooja Kumar and Andrea Jeremiah in lead roles, Vishwaroopam is scripted, directed and produced by Kamal and the music is by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy. Kamal Haasan has said that he is overwhelmed by the success of the film and that the film has done well more than he expected. he has also earlier said that his next production Vishwaroopam-2 will be released this year.

The film was originally set for release in Tamil and Telugu on January 25 but the Tamil version was banned followed by protests by Muslim groups. The ban was later lifted and the film subsequently released on February 7 in Tamil Nadu.

Kamal was honored with a special award from New York Festivals?


Kamal Haasan received an award on behalf of the Indian cinema presented by Chris Brown, Executive Vice President, Conventions & Business Operations for the National Association of Broadcasters. The ceremony is part of the New York Festivals International Film & TV awards. The actor sports a trimmed beard in his sequel to Vishwaroopam in which he has three looks.
