Vijay tap dances in Thalaivaa!

He's arguably one of the best dancers in Kollywood. And for Thalaivaa, directed by A L Vijay, Vijay has, we hear, made moves that he hasn't tried before. This time the actor, who's grooved to many kuthu dances in Kollywood films, has experimented with tap dance.

A source from the unit says, "Vijay surprised the unit members by his tap dance performance. This dance, which will appear for just a few minutes in the film, was shot in Australia. Vijay performed it with ease, much like a trained tap dancer. He practised the steps a couple of times before the shoot and rocked the dance floor. For this number, it was his wish to try out an international dance style, and he came up with this idea."

The source adds, "In the film, he (Vijay) plays the role of a guy who heads a dance group in Australia. So, the audience will get to see a lot of dance moves from Ilayathalapathy. His six-minute introduction song will also feature a variety of dance styles." Now that the shoot of this film is complete, post-production work is under way.
