I can’t handle fame: Parvathy
Parvathy Menon, who is cast opposite Dhanush in Mariyaan, is not new to Tamil cinema. She made her debut in K-town with Poo and is back after a while. The actress says that she isn't too perturbed about not having too many films in her kitty.
She says, "I am not very good at handling fame. One needs a lot of energy to sustain in this industry. I don't spend too much time and energy to plan my career. Even after Poo, I neither had a PR person nor did I meet any director for opportunities. While the norm in filmdom is to constantly be in the limelight, I voluntarily shied away from all the media glare. I've just taken the opportunities that have come on my way." She continues, "I can frankly say that I was not approached for many films after my debut film. At that time, I was happy pursuing my education. I was a child when I did my first film and now, I am back... as a lady!" On bagging her latest project, she says, "Bharatbala had seen my Mollywood film and called me for an audition. In the film, I play a girl who is madly in love with her man." She adds, "We have shot in breathtaking locales in Namibia for the flick. It was great working with Dhanush." With the teasers of the film revolving around the hero, isn't Parvathy not too concerned about it? "Yes, all eyes are only on Dhanush. It is good for the film and he deserves it." So, what's next? "Maybe after the release of this film, I'll look to sign on something else."
