Gouravam will be an engrossing film: Prakash Raj
Prakash Raj and Radhamohan are set to create magic again with Gouravam. About the film, Prakash Raj says, "When Radhamohan narrated to me the script of the film, I realized that he was going to the next level in his career as a director.
He has come up with yet another sensible story with Gouravam. When I watched the final version of the film, I was so touched. I felt that Kollywood audiences have not watched a film based on social messages for quite a long time. This film would perfectly fit into that genre and be entertaining as well! The flick will leave the audience with so many reasonable questions in mind. The dialogues will be the main highlight of the film and only Viji (the dialogue writer) could have come up with such touching lines. Gouravam will be an engrossing film in all aspects."
The film revolves around honour killings and Prakash Raj states that the director has handled the topic brilliantly. He says, "He has told the story of two youngsters who bring the issue to the fore and fight for it. The script has strongly conveyed the message that nobody has the right to kill a person in the name of honour killing."
He adds, "I play Pasupathy in the film and it was a very different role for me. I am genuinely happy to be part of such a meaningful film." About the cast and crew, he says, "Both Allu Sirish and Yami have done justices to their roles. While music director Thaman, who is known for his mass numbers, has composed songs keeping the storyline in mind, Preetha has done a great job with the camera. We have also introduced a new editor with this film. We have experimented with new talents, which eventually will add up to the quality of the final product."
Gouravam, a Prakash Raj Production that's released by Vendhar Movies' S Madhan, hits screens today.
